HavExpo as a launch arena for new technology
HavExpo has established itself as an important meeting place for innovation in the fisheries and aquaculture industry. For many exhibitors, the fair is more than an arena for networking – it is where new products and solutions are showcased for the first time.
Several players are taking the opportunity to launch technology that can contribute to more efficient, sustainable and reliable production. This reflects a rapidly evolving industry, where the need for smarter solutions is great.
One of the companies using HavExpo as a launch platform is Swedish NP Innovation, which is presenting BioGuard FLO – a solution that aims to improve water quality in fish farms without the need for extensive renovation.
“Many plants operating at full capacity find that improving water quality requires major investments and downtime. With BioGuard FLO, we want to offer an alternative that provides better performance without having to rebuild existing systems,” says Sabina McDowell at NP Innovation.
The solution works by upgrading the hydraulic performance of existing drum filters. The result is cleaner water, fewer downtimes and a more stable biological process – without changing the machine itself.
The innovation has been developed to meet the demands of modern aquaculture, where both efficiency and operational reliability are key.

The launch of such products at HavExpo underlines the role the fair has taken on as a central arena for innovation in the industry. For visitors, it provides a unique opportunity to gain insight into tomorrow's solutions - all in one place.
