HavExpo is planned in eight weeks from today. The current situation with the outbreak of the Covid-19 Corona virus has led to a lot of uncertain factors, both nationally and internationally, regarding densly populated indoor events. HavExpo AS are continuously considering the situation, and following both national and local advice from the Norwegian Folkehelseinstitutt (People’s Health Institute) and the head doctor in Øygarden municipality.

We’re working towards HavExpo being held as planned, and we believe that the situation regarding the corona virus will be considerably more clear before May, and that the situation has calmed down. The advice throughout March from the Folkehelseinstitutt is that events with more than 500 participants should not be held, and we are also seeing similar events being postponed or cancelled.

We will monitor the situation closely, and by the 3rd of April we will have made a final decision when new and updated advice are present. Should the situation develop in such a way that the government are not allowing us to host HavExpo as planned, it will be a difficult situation for all our customers, visitors and us as host, which we would be deeply sorry for. Should this occur, we will postpone the event to a new date in September/October 2020.

We have been in contact with our subcontractors, and orders on stand equipment, electricity, furniture etc. can be freely changed or cancelled once the final decision has been made regarding the date of HavExpo.

We are sorry about the insecurity and the inconvenience due to this, but will be supporting the common cause to reduce the spread of the virus and take our part of the common responsibility this is. We still hope and believe that the measures taken both locally and nationally will enable us to host the new, large expo for aquaculture and fishery as planned.
